Screen Printing Workshop
Date: March 21, 2020
Location: 1616 Pandora unit 220, Vancouver BC
Have you been dreaming of trying your hand at screen printing? Join me for an afternoon at my studio and learn how to put a one colour image of your own design onto a tote bag.
You will have the chance to learn all the steps in the process, from putting your image onto a silkscreen all the way to printing it your self.
Print your own one-colour design on a tote bag. Take home two.
Come prepared with an idea or a design in mind. Dont worry if you dont have computer skills, I will work with you to prepare the image to print. If you are uncertain of your design I can work with you to make some magic. I will be in touch leading up to the workshop about it.
What will be covered:
Screen preparation: photosensitive emulsion, burning images, film preparation
Proper printing techniques, squeegee angle and pressure, temperature and curing
Materials and types of inks
The class is capped at 4 students.
All materials are provided, be sure to arrive on time and wear clothing you don't mind getting a little bit of ink on. I only used non-toxic water based inks.
